Installation Notes:
• The T-Rac mounts onto the side rails of your truck without drilling.
• Installation is straight forward, and should take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
1. Verify that you have received the correct parts using the assembly drawing and packing list
2. Slide 6 T-bolts into slot under crossbar (3 per side) note: the flat recess must face down
3. Attach each crossbar onto a left and right corner unit by inserting the 2 T-bolts through the saddle plate holes, and attaching locknuts. Next fasten the corner brace to the crossbar with the remaining T-bolts, washers, leaving the 3/8” self-locking nuts loose for adjustments later. Attach the bottom of the corner brace (Dimple Side) using the 3/8-16 x 1-1/4” Hex head cap screw with the Washers (Figure 2) to the corner unit.
4. Attach the rubber adhesive strips to the under side of the mount plate, and place the mount plates on the truck side rails. Position the front mount plates as far forward as possible and the rear plates as far back as you can, without going beyond the tailgate. Now place the rack assemblies on top of the mounting plates, Toolbox style rack up front, and Standard style rack at the rear.
5. Slide the clamps into the base rail channel, and spread the clamps as far apart as possible. One clamp should be positioned within ½” from the end of the base rail, and the second clamp no more than 8” in from the opposite end of the base rail. On some truck models the stake pocket may cause interference, (See Figure 4. for various clamping locations).
6. Next thread in the 3/8” x 2-1/2” cap screw into the clamp, and onto the U-channel. This will help distribute the force of the screw, and prevent body damage (See Figure 5.). Note: you’re provided with 4 short and 8 long U-channels, select the U-channel that best fits your truck.
