I need a radio code for S420 but don’t want to give my credit card number to a online website. Does anybody know a free way to get the code?

- You probably can’t. If it’s the original radio or was replaced by an MB dealer, any dealer can look up the code. However they will require proof of ownership of the vehicle before they will release the information to you. I’ve had to get codes from dealers a couple of times and have never been charged for it.
- Visit your local Benz dealer with your ownership. You can try to ask them over the phone but many will not provide such information over the phone for security reasons. You therefore need to ask them in person and prove that you are the owner.
I don’t know of anyone that has this information other than the dealer.
- The radio will have to be removed from the dashboard.
Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
