How to fix the turn signals on 95 Nissan Pickup?

October 31st, 2011 · No Comments

I have a 95 Nissan Pickup w/ V6 and 5spd. Recently the turn signals quit working. I replaced the turn signal switch and checked all the fuses and bulbs and they checked fine. I also replaced the flasher above the fuse box and still no luck. Dont know what else to check.

- You must have a broken ground wire in the circuit some were, you may have to purchase a wiring schematic to find the area of location. but if the light bulbs receive power and the ground path is interupted then you won’t have a light.
your system has yellow turn signals in the rear and red brake light bulbs correct?
if so the turn signal switch operates just the turn signal bulbs. try to turn on the 4 way flashers ( hazzard lights) if they work retrace what you have done. you might have replaced the wrong flasher. there are two flashers one for turn signals and one for the four way flashers.

- Which flasher did you replace? you have 2 of them. 1 for turn signals and 1 for emergency flashers.

- Often turn signal problems are simply bad ground conections. Try grounding the lights directly to the frame.

- Could be a faulty hazard switch, as the turn signal circuit is routed through the hazard switch.
