The truck is a 78 scottsdale, but had to get a reman engine in 2000; but It’s got a 350 long block, I had both heads redone. I had one shaved but not the other, the compression on one side is around 180, on the other side it varies its like 150 I believe to be the highest, and 120 to be the lowest. I put new head gaskets on both of them. I even put a brand new edelbrock carb on, new fuel filter, plus new fuel pump. It runs, but it backfires, while idling mainly, and can just hear (more…)

I have a 2000 z28 and i wanted to put an sts turbo on it. I currently have the slp loudmouth exhaust on my car. But with the turbo will i lose my loudmouth? Or how does it work?

I have a full size Chevy silverado. I put low profile 17’s on it and now the speedo is about the mph off. when I am going 45 the speedo says 55. I would like to change the ring and pinion gear to make up for it because the rear end is already making a noise. not low on fluid though. I don’t know what the stock ratio is or how to tell. but can someone tell me how the ratio’s work. do I need a higher or lower gear ratio.

I have an 81 chevrolet pickup with a 350. i recently put in an edelbrock carb and intake. the carb is 800cfm. i know that is too much so its just wasting gas like crazy. i don’t want to buy a whole new carb, what can i do? my friend said that i could put an ajustable fuel pressure regulator to make it waste less gas, would this work?

The best thing I’ve found to release stuck rings, lifters and the like, is an additive called Marvel Mystery Oil. Ive seen this free up 20 yr old rusted shut pistons. It comes in a red bottle any autoparts store should have it. Just add some to your oil.

I have a 2010 Chevrolet Impala in Black. Today, I noticed a scratch (not deep enough to feel when you touch it) going along the side. I also have swirls…
How much would it be to get the scratch fixed, get the swirls buffed out, and get a coat or two of wax put on (I have my own wax: Meguiar’s Gold Class)? Just on average.
