Flip Tarp Assembly Instructions

The Flip tarp is designed and pre-assembled for a drivers side mount, however it can also be mounted on the passenger side by applying some simple modifications. FOR A DRIVERS SIDE MOUNT SKIP TO STEP II.
Modifications for a drivers side mount
a. Locate the power unit mounting plate in the motor assembly.
b. Unbolt the mounting plate and rotate 180 degrees. Re-place bolts.
c. Unbolt the actuator and rotate it until the valves are one bolt pattern off vertical, pointing down and towards the power pack. Re-place bolts. (task is best accomplished with 2 people, one holds the actuator which weighs approx. 50 lbs, and the other removes and places the bolts.)
d. Unbolt the Sun Hydraulic Counterbalance Valve and rotate it 180 degrees. Re-place bolts.

2003-06 Ford Expedition Instructions

Set up truck on a two post lift or jack stands and remove the wheel. Then remove: 1. Upper ball joint nut 2.Tie rod nut 3 Sway bar nut Support the weight of the spindle so that tension is not placed on the ABS wir- ing or brake line. A hammer may be needed to break the ball joint and tie rod free - always wear safety goggles when using a hammer. Remove the drive axle bolts (on 4wd models). The drive axle uses a 12mm twelve point bolt; make sure you use the correct tool. FAILURE TO REMOVE THE DRIVE AXLE WILL MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT

Restoring a ford as a stock and vehicular crossing point

The ford was built as part of comprehensive restoration of the river bed after deepening by dredging in the 1960s (See 5.3 for full details and a location plan). The ford forms one of a series of fixed points that stabilise the bed at its restored level. Old O.S maps indicated a ford had existed prior to dredging but it had been removed during these works; see photo of conditions pre-restoration. The farmer was keen for the ford to be restored as a stock and vehicular crossing point.

Due to vehicle-build variations the Power Step may not correctly align with vehicle cladding. Using supplied shims, please follow the instructions be- low to correct the alignment. Remove canister purge valve bracket from rock rail remove existing rock rail by unscrewing ten bolts Install new canister purge valve bracket on fourth set of holes from the front (upper bolt)

1. Remove positive and negative battery cables. If equipped, the Supplemental Restraint System will be deactivated when the battery is disconnected.
2. Note the location of the front and rear bumpers in relation to the front/rear of the vehicle for use in alignment during installation.

This guide INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS step:
1. Remove positive and negative battery cables. If equipped, the Supplemental Restraint System will be deactivated when the battery is disconnected.
FRONT BUMPER REMOvAl
2. Note location of front bumper in relation to the front of the vehicle for use in alignment during reinstallation.
3. Remove lower shroud located between the radiator and the front bumper. This provides access to the inside bumper bolts.
