Muz Honda JDM Badges (S2000) Installation Instructions

November 24th, 2009 · No Comments

1) Use an adhesive solvent to spray the badge you are removing. Make sure you use an adhesive solvent (such as Xenit Adhesive Remover) that won’t damage the paint.
2) Once the solvent has penetrated the backing of the badge use a length of dental floss and gently work it under the edge of one of the top badge corners. Once you have the floss behind the badge you can use it like a saw in a back and forth motion to gradually ‘cut’ through the backing adhesive and separate the badge from the body of the car. You may need to repeat the procedure from various angles to achieve this.

Install Front and Rear Aluminum Angles
Using the bolts from the factory hard top or those supplied in the kit, install the aluminum angle rails in the existing holes on the top of the body edge. Fasten the bolts with the 5/16″ Nuts and 5/16″ Washers from the parts kit. There should be a 3″ space between the two pieces on each side for the Bow Mounting Bracket. There will be an extra hole at either end of the rails. Drill a 3/16″ hole in the body at these locations and use the #14 x 1/2″ Sheet Metal Screws to secure the rails in place.

Subaru Forrester Power Steering Rack Install

December 21st, 2008 · No Comments

This document shows a set of pictures I took while installing a 1999 Subaru Power Steering Rack into my 1973 Datsun 240Z. The car had already been converted to a 1995 LT1 with a WC T5 transmission and I had kept the original pump from the donor car (Caprice 9C1) so I used it.

The steering has a feel similar to a higher end modern sports car. It’s light but still has reasonable road feel. The Subaru rack I used seems to have a higher ratio than the stock Datsun so the steering is quicker than it was.
