Step 1: Install Bulkhead Adapter
A. Remove the forward upper Tie Down Brackets.
B. Remove the two (2) upper Bedrail bolts per side.
C. Remove the three (3) upper Bulkhead bolts.
Step 2: Installing Mounting Flanges on Bedrails and Bulkhead
Note: Notice that two sizes of metric bolts have been provided. The four (4) large 8mm x 40mm bolts are to be used in the forward positions of the Track Mounting Flanges where the tiedown brackets were removed. The seven (7) smaller 6mm x 40mm bolts are to be used in all the other locations.

1. With the truck on the ground, remove the track bar bolt at the differential Lift truck up, and make sure it is safe by using jack stands or a 2-post lift that locks in place.
1. Support the front axle with a support jack equipped with the proper fixture.
2. Undo the sway bar links.
3. Undo the four U-bolts on the passenger side leaf springs ONLY. Make sure the differential is supported as it may fall at this point.
4. If the truck has hydraulic shocks, just slide them up and out of the way. If the truck has gas shocks, it will be easier to remove them.
5. On the drivers side, LOOSEN but DO NOT REMOVE the U-bolts on the drivers side leaf springs. This will enable the passenger side to sag enough to get the Lift and Level kit into place.

Tools needed: 8mm open end wrench or socket 7/16 socket or open end wrench 1/4×1 bolts, 5/16 flat washers and nuts
1. Using the 8mm wrench, remove the factory Air Dam.
2. Position Air Dam aligning the center hole of Air Dam with the center hole of bumper.
3. Using a bolt with flat washer on the bolt, push bolt up through Air dam into bumper.
4. Install a flat washer, and a locking nut from above. DO NOT tighten at this time.
5. Install the balance of the bolts making sure that a flat washer is against the Air Dam.
6. Once all bolts are installed, tighten starting from the center of the Air Dam working right and then center of the Air Dam working left.

BMW 3 Series (with side jack lifting holes) Clamping Setup
1. Remove conventional clamp jaws.
2. Attach BMW clamping adapter (518315), 1/4 inch spacer (532196) and outer pin support (518313) to pinchweld clamps as shown.
3, Remove plugs in bottom of rocker panels and jacking holes.
4. Lower vehicle onto supports while guiding outer support pins (618302) into jacking holes.
5. Tighten thumbscrew to hold pin in place.
NOTE: Use support bolt holes on clamping adapter
