What is EOBD, EOBD2 and OBD-II

EOBD is an abbreviation of European On-Board Diagnostics. All petrol cars sold within Europe since 1 Jan 2001, and diesel cars manufactured from 2003, must have on-board diagnostic systems to monitor engine emissions. These systems were introduced in line with European Directive 98/69/EC to monitor and reduce emissions from cars. All such cars must also have a standard EOBD diagnostic socket that provides access to this system (as shown below). The EOBD / ODBII 16-pin diagnostic connector (DLC)

Multi-Vehicle Databus Doorlock & Window Roll Up Module

Selecting The Vehicle Type
Switches 1,2, and 3 are used to select vehicle type. Use the chart on the back of these instructions to determine which of the above switch settings you will need.
Window Roll Up Function
Turn Switch 4 on (up position) to enable the window roll up function or off (down position) to disable window roll up. Window roll up is not available for all vehicle types. Use the chart on the back of these instructions to determine which vehicles are compatible.

You are the owner of the Power Programmer III, the latest in high-performance tuning technology. Now you can optimize your engine’s tuning, as well as adjust other vehicle parameters (see table of contents), all at the touch of a button. BMW SRI Manual Reset 2001

On 2001 vehicles without the diagnostic connector in the engine compartment, the use of the SIA reset tool is not possible. The service indicator may be reset using the reset mode in the instrument cluster.

BMW CS1000 Fault Code Scanner Instructions

Insert the OB15-9 memory cartridge into the base of the scanner. Make sure the arrow on the cartridge is facing up as it is inserted. Push the cartridge until the cartridge snaps completely. Be sure to insert the memory cartridge into the scanner before powering-up the scanner.

Troubleshooting Opel / Vauxhall Guide

For older vehicles, the diagnostic connector can often be found in the engine compartment. Astra-F 16 pin OBD connector located in the fuse compartment to the right hand side of the steering wheel on RHD vehicles and to the left hand side of the steering wheel on LHD vehicles. Covering panel can be pulled off to reveal the complete fuse compartment and diagnostic connector. Astra-G 16 pin OBD connector located in the central console between the handbrake and the gearstick. There is a plastic cover that needs to be removed to find the connector. This can be done with a medium sized flat-blade screwdriver inserted at the front of the panel (nearest to the gearstick).

BMW Instrument Cluster SIA Reset Model: E38,E39,E46,E52,E53 pdf

BMW Owners Manuals - Production Date: E46 from 9/99 E38,E39,E53 from 9/00 On 2001 vehicles without the diagnostic connector in the engine compartment, the use of the SIA reset tool is not possible. The service indicator may be reset using the reset mode in the instrument cluster. Reset procedure for high and low clusters with SIA III using the Reset Mode: • Ignition key must be “off” • Press and hold the trip odometer reset button in the instrument cluster (left button), and turn the ignition key to the first position. • Keep the button pressed for approximately 5 seconds until one of the following words appear in the display: “OIL SERVICE, or
