Prepare for the installation.
• If possible, install the SWI-ALP while you are installing the new head unit. Keep in mind you may need to plug in the factory stereo to locate certain wires; therefore do not complete the head unit installation until the SWI-ALP is working properly.
• Plan a general installation location for both the SWI-ALP plug and the control body. Keep in mind that the supplied wire harness is two feet long, and the 1/8″ plug harness is three feet long.
• Use a multimeter or approved measuring device for checking vehicle circuits

Working Theory. The Chemical gases, most of which are xenon and iodides, are filled the quartz tube of the light. Through the ballast, then the voltage of 12V DC will be increased to 23KV immediately: the electrons of the xenon in the tube will be dissociated because of the voltage swing and thus an electrical arc happens between the two poles. Xenon light is power saving, safe and has long life, high luminance. In addition of the use of the UV-cut quartz tube, the light is crystal forever.

AviStart 3200 Installation Guide
October 29th, 2008 · No Comments
This product is designed for fuel-injected, automatic transmission vehicles only.
Installing it in a standard transmission vehicle is dangerous and is contrary to its intended use.
- Please read this entire installation guide before beginning the installation. The installation of this remote start system requires interfacing with many of the vehicle’s systems. Many new vehicles use low-voltage or multiplexed systems that can be damaged by low resistance testing devices, such as test lights and logic probes (computer safe test lights). Test all circuits with a high quality digital multi-meter before making connections.

Wiring Tips
When making permanent electrical connections it is imperative that proper terminals, connectors and soldering be used. Using connectors such as MSD’s Weathertight or Deutsch connectors provide positive locking, sealed connections. Never simply “twist and tape” wires together. Faulty wiring will result in ignition and electrical problems

For older vehicles, the diagnostic connector can often be found in the engine compartment. Astra-F 16 pin OBD connector located in the fuse compartment to the right hand side of the steering wheel on RHD vehicles and to the left hand side of the steering wheel on LHD vehicles. Covering panel can be pulled off to reveal the complete fuse compartment and diagnostic connector. Astra-G 16 pin OBD connector located in the central console between the handbrake and the gearstick. There is a plastic cover that needs to be removed to find the connector. This can be done with a medium sized flat-blade screwdriver inserted at the front of the panel (nearest to the gearstick).

Understanding European DIN Wiring pdf
March 21st, 2008 · No Comments
European wiring diagrams may look strange and incomprehensible. But they’re not so tough to understand when the underlying standards are explained. The main fuse and relay panels on most European cars can be found under the hood. On older vehicles, like this BMW, the panel is protected only by a plastic cover. The panels on more recent models do a better job of protect- ing fuses and relays from the elements. Many older European vehicles are equipped with these bul- let-style fuses.
