Suzuki Have a long history of producing small motor vehicles. It all started in 1955 with the Suzulight series of Kei class cars. The Suzulight looked similar to a Moris / Leyland Mini-minor, only the performance was nowhere near as good, considering it was fitted with a 359cc 2-stroke, Air cooled engine.

Before taking to the track, it is important that you carry out a thorough spanner check, paying particular attention to all hoses, connections and suspension fixings, brake bias etc..
Check all fluid levels
The oil level on cars fitted with the standard wet sump should be no lower than three quarters up the sight-glass, with the car on level ground and the motor warm and running. The sump is baffled and the oil takes some time to settle.

Ford Sierra 4×4 Supplement Manual

The Ford supplied Sierra 4×4 Supplementary Workshop Manual is a “must have” for any owner of one of these cars. The biggest problem can be actually finding one to purchase. I got lucky and managed to get mine direct from a Ford dealer, brand new for Ł8, who was having a clearout. They do appear regularly at autojumbles and it is just a case of keep looking. The manual only covers those items unique to the 4×4 Sierra’s and are to be used in conjunction with the Ford Sierra Workshop Manual.

Fore more than 50 years there were several attempts to win the hardest endurance race of the world with a Diesel engine. AUDI who has pioneered the introduction of the first direct injection passenger engine TDI has developed an innovative powerplant for his purpose. With the first run at last years 24h race a historical victory was achieved. The new engine shows a very low weight, a very compact design and a new type of particulate filter system. In combination with a sophisticated combustion process and an extreme high injection pressure a remarkable power output along with low consumption and very low emissions are guaranteed in the race. AUDI shows again its philosophy of customer orientated motorsport by developing and testing new technologies convincingly on the racetrack, before they will introduced in road cars.

Volkswagen Manual Gearbox 02T Design and Function

With the new 02T 5/6-speed manual gearbox of the MQ200 series, Volkswagen has succeeded in developing an ultra-light twin-shaft gearbox. The housing is manufactured from magnesium. The gearbox can transmit up to 200 Nm of torque and is used throughout the Group in combination with various engines ranging from the A00 class to the A class. The final drive ratios and the ratios of the individual gears can be matched to the power outputs of the various engines.

Renault has unveiled its new third generation Clio. The new model will go on sale in October initially as a three-door with the five-door following in January 2006. At 3.99m the new model is longer than the outgoing Clio, and will be available with a choice of petrol or diesel engines. The petrol engine range comprises a 1.2 litre 16V (75hp), a 1.4 litre 16V (98hp) and a 1.6 litre 16V (113hp) unit, while the 1.5 litre dCi diesel engine comes in a choice of three power outputs: 70hp, 86hp and 106hp. Transmissions include a six-speed manual and a robotised ‘quick shift’ gearbox commanded by paddles located behind the steering wheel.

There are six different designs of WABCO Expert Diagnostics. You can choose the right one for your needs. The table on the next page provides an overview of the components with each design. Our robust diagnostic instruments (Smart Handheld Tester, Smart Module Inter-face and Laptop Toughbook) were specially engineered for workshop operation. The Toughbook can be attached to a robust trolley. The necessary diagnosic cables are kept in the cable cases. The Toughbook has an open operating system so that it can be used for other workshop and office applications.
