Removal of the Stock Air Intake System
a) Loosen the clamp around the throttle body using a 5.5mm socket or screwdriver. Pull the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor out of the intake tube by loosening the spring loaded clamp.
b) Unplug the breather tube from the fitting underneath the intake manifold.
c) Remove the air box mounting bolt shown in the picture.
d) Remove the other air box mounting shown in the picture.
e) Carefully remove the air box assembly from the engine bay.
f) Remove the two fasteners holding the plastic cover in front of the battery.

Turbocharger: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Turbocharger (Removal)
1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Disconnect the charge air cooler inlet and outlet pipes.
4. Label and disconnect the intake air heater element electrical leads, intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector, manifold absolute temperature (MAP) sensor electrical connector and the pressure hoses.

All components have been designed and manufactured utilizing the latest in technology and materials. Comptech recommends that you read through these instructions before starting installation and that you use an Acura Factory Shop Manual to supplement these instructions. All Comptech products are intended to be installed by a professional installer. Always use jackstands to support the vehicle when a car lift is not available. Always work in a clean environment and use the appropriate safety equipment to avoid any potential damage or injuries.

1994 Suzuki Sidekick 1.6L TBI ENGINE PERFORMANCE Self-Diagnostics

Assembly Line Data Link (ALDL) connector may also be referred to as Data Link Connector (DLC). The term CHECK ENGINE light is now referred to as Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). The MIL is displayed in instrument cluster as CHECK ENGINE.

If no faults were found while performing BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES, proceed with self-diagnostics. If no fault codes or only pass codes are present after entering self-diagnostics, proceed to the H - TESTS W/O CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section for diagnosis by symptom (i.e., ROUGH IDLE, NO START, etc.).
