To suit Ford F150 vehicle model year MY04 Preparation Step 1 Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the hole at the top of the cover plate behind the door handle lever to remove the cover plate. Step 2 Lift the front corner of switch panel. Pull the switch panel up and out from the door trim panel. Step 3 Disconnect electrical connectors from the switch panel and set the switch panel aside. Figure 1 Figure 2 Step 4 With a 10 mm socket, remove the screw from the switch panel hole. Step 5 Using a 6 mm socket, remove 2 x screws at the lower edge of the door trim panel.

This means the engine will not start even when the registered key is turned to the START position: • When the key comes into contact with a metallic or magnetic object. • When the key comes into contact with another immobilizing key, or with some other transponder. In case like these, the theft-alarm indicator (located in the instrument cluster) will blink after 10 seconds. The theft-alarm indicator will flash for approximately 30 seconds and then go off.

There is an airbag readinesslight on the instrument panel, which shows “AIR BAG’ on it. The system checks the airbag’s electrical system for malfunctions. The light tells you if there is an electrical problem.See “Air Bag Readiness Light” in Index for more the information. When should an air bag inflate? The air bag is designed to inflate in moderate to severe frontal or near-frontal crashes. The airbag will inflate only if the impact speed is above the system’s designed “threshold level.” If your vehicle goes straight into a wall that doesn’t move or deform, the threshold level is about 9 to 15 mph ( 14 to 24 km/h).
