How much time to completly restore a 1956 Convertible Mercedes?

January 2nd, 2011 · No Comments

It’s taken 7 years so far! from a company that has already charged $30,000 and says it will cost another $44,000 to finish it, with probably another 1.5 years to go until it’s ready! Doesn’t that sound nuts? The auto restoration shop owner acts like I’m the idiot for questioning it. (It’s not my car, but the woman’s I work for, who had me call and check the status today) She’s getting ripped off, right? What should we do about it?

If I buy this part, can somebody give me some directions on how to replace it? I’m not very handy, but can follow good instructions.
I would appreciate any and all guidance on this.

90-97 Mazda Miata NA Flush Mount Headlight Kit Installation Guide

August 17th, 2010 · No Comments

Each factory headlight is bolted to the car by only (3) nuts. Once the (3) nuts are unscrewed the headlight will be able to be removed from where it is bolted. In order to completely remove the headlight from the car you will have to unplug the factory wiring harness from the back of the headlight. To accomplish this remove the 4 screws holding the black plastic surround while the headlight is up. Loosen the four bolts holding the headlight lid on the assembly. Once removed, you will be able to gain access to the headlight to unplug the socket and associated clips. Now you can remove the headlight from the car. Below I will walk you through this entire process.
