NOTE: Read all instructions before starting any work.
1. Remove the O.E. front pipe/muffler/tail pipe assembly from the vehicle. Lubricate the rubber isolators with WD-40, or a similar lubricant, to aid in removing the rod hangers. The O.E. system will not come off in one piece. Cut the system between the rear axle and the muffler. Both pieces will then come off easily.
2. Install DynoMax front intermediate pipe 54374. Insert the rod hanger into the rubber isolator on the RH frame. Finger tighten the nuts on the inlet flange connection to the converter pipe.

Tools Needed: 10, 12, 14 sockets and wrenches. You will also need a Oxygen Sensor removal tool or 22mm wrench or socket to remove the stock Oxygen sensors from the catalytic converter and install them in the new Jackson Racing header. Most of these tools are available at your local hardware or auto parts store.
IF YOU ARE NOT A COMPETENT MECHANIC, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS INSTALLATION! ALLOW AT LEAST ONE HOUR FOR THE EXHAUST SYSTEM TO COOLBEFORE DOING ANY EXHAUST SYSTEM INSTALLATION WORK.

Take care when removing all mechanical fasteners - including nuts, bolts, washers, clips or pins - that secure or support your motorcycle’s stock exhaust system. Replace all damaged, twisted, cross-threaded, corroded or broken fasteners, clips or supports prior to installing this Hard-Krome exhaust system on your motorcycle.

2005-2008 Chevy Cobalt Exhaust System Installation

Prior to installation, be sure your vehicle is parked on a level surface, and the exhaust system is cool. For safety purposes and ease of installation, we urge you to take your vehicle to a qualified service center or muffler installer that employs the use of a lift.
Exhaust System Removal:
1. Measure the exhaust pipe 7-1/2 inches forward of the rear axle and mark a line.
2. Using a saw or chain style pipe cutter, cut the stock system.
3. Using a 15 mm socket remove the two flange nuts.
4. Remove the front hanger from the rubber isolator and remove the front section of the stock exhaust system.
5. Remove the rubber isolator after the axle from both the vehicle and the exhaust system (See Fig. D).
