Trucks with lift kits or leveling kits installed have a higher center of gravity. Aggressive direction changes may cause a tip over. Always drive carefully and obey the speed limit.
1. FRONT SUSPENSION—remove axle nut to prevent the CV joint form coming apart.
2. Remove three nuts from under plastic plugs under hood. These attach the upper strut to the truck
3. Place rags or some other cushioning over the axle, to prevent the sharp bottom of the strut from cutting the CV boot.
4. Remove the sway bar link from the truck. This will be replaced with the sway bar link included in the kit.
5. Remove the lower bolt of the strut and remove the strut assembly. Be careful not to cut the CV boot

These shocks are pressurized with nitrogen to 250 psi. Normally there is no reason to change the nitrogen pressure in the shocks. It is not intended as an air shock which can be made stiffer or softer with changes in pressure. The use of standard automotive-type air chucks and gauges will allow the oil in the non-reservoir shocks to escape. Attempts to recharge the shocks should only be performed by trained service persons with the necessary high-pressure nitrogen handling equipment.

Ford Sierra Service and Repair Manuals
March 25th, 2008 · No Comments
The Ford Sierra was first introduced in late 1982 with the option of seven different engines and four different trim levels. This manual covers the four cylinder in-line petrol engines, but other models in the range are fitted with V6 or diesel engines. The Sierra was introduced by Ford as the successor to the Cortina and initially received a mixed reception as it was one of the first vehicles to make use of the aeroback body style designed to reduce the air drag coefficient to a minimum in the interests of fuel economy. Mechanically the Sierra is similar to the Cortina with the exception of all-round independent suspension. Initially, 1.3, 1.6 and 2.0 litre SOHC carburettor engines were available, with Hatchback and Estate body styles.
