1999-2005 GM-All Mini Vans, Astro & Venture Secure Idle Installation
September 14th, 2009 · No Comments
“SECURE IDLE” is an ignition switch bypass device designed to provide all the electrical functions that the OEM ignition switch normally provides. For proper operation and long term performance, do not deviate from the wire connection instruction. For each wire connection, remove approximately one half inch of insulation from the OEM wire, but DO NOT cut the wire into. Cutting the wires causes high resistance and a possible failure point. Strip app. one half inch of insulation from the end of the “SECURE IDLE” wires to be attached to the OEM wires. Wrap the “SECURE IDLE” wire around the bare area of the OEM wire and solder the connection. Tape the connection thoroughly after it cools.

Ford Bath Immersion Tester Elcometer 1270 Operating Instructions
June 25th, 2009 · No Comments
The Elcometer 1270 Ford Bath Immersion Tester is designed to perform, with high reproducibility, a large number of standardised or conventional tests in order to assess the resistance of coatings, notably to blistering, when immersed in water.
Coated metal sheets are laid at an angle of 15°-20°on a grooved bottom and fully immersed in de-ionised water, warmed to 40°C ±1°C (104ºF ±2ºF). Once a predetermined time is reached, the samples are removed and the coating is inspected. The instrument is very simple and consists of a plastic tank with grooved sample holder, a plastic cover and a heater with circulation pump.

3. TPS throttle position sensor
The input is designed for standard TPS sensors used in motorcycles. It is designed to take voltage of 0 to 5 V. Specific settings of the sensor for particular types of motorcycles are included in the DUCATI.EXE software. The TPS is powered by the means of reference voltage + 5V and SENSE GND. The output of the sensor will be connected to the connector (3ENG).

What are: Voltage, Current, and Resistance?
Voltage (letter symbol: V; unit of measure: volts), Current (letter symbol: I; unit of measure: amps), and Resistance (letter symbol: R; unit of measure: ohms ) are the 3 most fundamental principals in electronics. To understand how these 3 principals relate together, lets look at an everyday garden item, a water hose. Everything needed to understand these 3 basics of electronics can be seen in a simple garden hose. (This concept is so strong that medical researchers use voltage, current, and resistance to describe blood movement through blood vessels; very similar to the garden hose concept.

Removing and installing steering wheel
July 7th, 2008 · No Comments
The center position of the fanfare horns and airbag clock spring contact (A45) is crucial for the trouble-free function of the airbag system and signaling system. In the removed condition, the position is ensured by the mounting screws (32h).
If contact spiral is twisted, however, e.g.
- When the steering coupling is removed
- When the retaining bolts are fully unscrewed then the center position must be found as follows:
