Electric generators are potentially lethal if not used properly. There is a very real risk of injuring or killing someone working on power lines with an improperly connected generator. Homeowners should know the correct way to use a backup generator for their home. This page will explain how a generator transfer panel is properly installed. It will alert you to potential dangers and provide some insight on the workings of electricity. You will understand better the reasoning behind the need of a transfer panel instead of a simple double male extension cord. It is not my intent to encourage homeowners to make wiring changes, but rather to provide information which will promote safe and proper generator use. In many areas, you are required by law to obtain a permit and have a licensed electrician make any electrical changes .

Ford FR500 Mustang Steering Wheel Installation Guide
March 10th, 2009 · No Comments
This install guide is for the FR500 Steering wheel, which I purchased from AmericanMuscle. It is one of the very few racing-style steering wheels that allow for a stock-for-stock swap from the regular steering wheel. You put the horn, airbag, and cruise control switches back in the original location. The FR500 steering wheel features a noticeable fatter, softer feel over stock. The stock steering wheel measures 1.21″ thick. The FR500 steering wheel measures at 1.42″ When buying the FR500 steering wheel from AmericanMuscle.com, remember that only the steering wheel is what you are purchasing. It does not include the airbag and cruise control switches. You will be re-installing your original airbag and switches. I will go into more details further in the guide. This install was done on a 1998 Cobra.

LPE C5 Supercharger Kit Hood Installation Warnings/Instructions
September 14th, 2008 · No Comments
Before installing your supercharger hood, it is necessary to check the clearance of the supercharger itself and the aftermarket hood. You may have to perform some small modifications to the supercharger in order for the hood to fit correctly. All motors do not sit at the same height, depending on the motor mounts. Depending on which hood you have purchased, there can be small differences in the way that the hood will fit. On most hoods, there are two major areas that can be of risk to cracking or otherwise damaging the hood.

KEYS / REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCKS
1 Radio frequency remote control locking unit, ignition key, key for doors, luggage compartment and fuel filler flap.
2 Ignition key, key for doors, luggage compartment and fuel filler cap.
If there is a child (or animal) in the car, never leave it unattended with the key in the ignition. With the key in the ignition it would be possible to operate electrical equipment such as the window risers and there is a risk that the child may be seriously injured (by trapping his or her neck, arm, hand, etc.).

This second part covers a lot of ground but the techniques can be used for complex projects. To demonstrate how to make a two part mold I’ve decided to mold a tube which could be use to make charge pipes, etc.
All the usual disclaimers_the chemicals are hazardous so use adequate protection. This tutorial is how I do it. There are other methods which may be superior. If you choose to try these procedures its at your own risk.
