NOTE: Read all instructions before starting any work.
1. Remove the O.E. front pipe/muffler/tail pipe assembly from the vehicle. Lubricate the rubber isolators with WD-40, or a similar lubricant, to aid in removing the rod hangers. The O.E. system will not come off in one piece. Cut the system between the rear axle and the muffler. Both pieces will then come off easily.
2. Install DynoMax front intermediate pipe 54374. Insert the rod hanger into the rubber isolator on the RH frame. Finger tighten the nuts on the inlet flange connection to the converter pipe.

Removal of stock system:
First using 15mm socket or wrench, remove four (4) nuts at flange located approximately under the passenger side seat. Remove rear exhaust from rubber hangers and remove the system from under the truck.
NOTE: If you have purchased the optional front pipe, Remove the stock front pipe on the truck by removing the exhaust hanger on the transmission using a 13mm socket, then remove the band clamp at the front of the pipe, then remove stock front pipe from the truck. ( Note: the band clamp will be re-used during the installation of your new MBRP system)

01-06 Chev/GMC 6.6L Duramax Diesel Extended Cab Short & Long Bed Installation Instructions

Removal of stock system:
1. Apply a penetrating lubricant liberally to all exhaust fasteners, hangers and rubber insulators.
2. Using a 15mm socket or wrench, disconnect the factory exhaust system at the four bolt flange located behind the catalytic converter. If the vehicle is not equipped with a catalytic converter disconnect the four bolt flange located approximately under the passenger side seat.
3. Remove the exhaust system from the rubber insulators and remove from under the vehicle. If a hoist is not available for use, it may be necessary to cut the tail pipe behind the muffler for removal of the system.
4. Unbolt the OEM hanger from the transmission and remove.
5. Loosen the factory band clamp and remove the stock front pipe. Some vehicles are not equipped with a catalytic converter. Do not discard the band clamp as it is required for the installation.
6. Remove the spare tire. You may not be able to reinstall your spare tire after the installation of this exhaust system.

Removal of stock system:
Remove nut, with 15mm wrench or socket, from band clamp in front of muffler.
Remove rear exhaust from rubber hangers, remove bottom shock bolt at rear of truck &
separate the stock exhaust at the slip joint at the muffler.
Remove the muffler and tail pipe from under the truck, re-install the bottom shock bolt.
Remove extension pipe at flange using 15mm deep socket.
Remove down pipe, under the hood remove band clamp with 11mm at turbo then cut pipe in front of transmission cross member to remove.

1987-96 Ford F150/250 Pickup Dynomax Dual Kits Installation Instructions

Read all instructions before starting any work.
1. Remove the exhaust system behind the catalytic converter assembly.
2. Grind or file the tab off the outlet end of the O.E. converter. Connect the intermediate pipe to the converter and clamp in place. This pipe will require cutting the outlet for the 133″ WB (standard cab, 8’ box). Cut to length after the muffler is in position (SEE #3).
3. Slip muffler hanger (36161) ends thru the rubber hangers. The clamp should be offset to the driver’s side. Install the muffler. The bracket clamps to the driver’s side outlet. Do not tighten yet.

Removal of Stock System:
1. Loosen the nut on the band clamp located behind the catalytic converter using a 15mm wrench or socket.
2. If a hoist is being used for the installation, the original exhaust system can be removed in one piece by removing the passenger side shock. If a hoist is not being used the tail pipe must be cut behind the muffler to be removed.
3. Remove the muffler and tail pipe from the OEM rubber hangers and separate the stock exhaust at the slip joint located behind the catalytic converter and remove the muffler and tail pipe from under the truck. Re-install the passenger side shock.

Removal of Original System
1) Start under the vehicle. Remove the band clamp that holds the stock system to the converter by loosening the bolt and gently prying the clamp loose. If the clamp will not release continue to next step. When you have the rest of the system off shake the pipe from underneath the vehicle this will break the seal and you will here the clamp release. Gently remove the clamp and save for the reinstallation.
2) Remove the band clamp that holds the stock system to the converter by loosening the bolt and prying the clamp loose. Do not cut when installing on longer models.
3) Cut the original system just behind the muffler.
