Use stock Chevrolet crank pulley; for double groove use GM part# 37744043. We use early (5/8”cc) groove spacing on pulleys.
1. Straight up thermostat housings work the best for most installations.
a) Murray # 277689 (54-72 GMC & Chevy light trucks)
b) Super Sunny #S6002 straight up billet aluminum housing
2. Engine driven fans:
a) Permacool 15” or 17” fan: this is polished, stainless steel.
b) Blades may have to be trimmed slightly

Removing the cylinder head
Caution : The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage resulting from the use of unsuitable tools for the removal and refitting of the engine or any part of it.
When the engine is in place, the cylinder head, the cylinder, the piston and the reed valve can be exposed by removing the following parts: exhaust pipe, air filter casing, carburettor.

THERMOSTAT
Most thermostats are thermal wax pellet type. As coolant temperature rise the wax begins to expand. This expansion overcomes spring tension allowing the thermostat to open. Some thermostats also incorporate an additional bleed hole to allow a small amount of circulation and eliminate air blocks.
