Adapter plate F-15741-TL29PL is required to hold VW 09G (TF-60SN) and Volvo/Opal (TF-80SC) valve body sections while reaming. Adapter plate is not required for Ford/Mazda (TF-81SC).
Note: Mounting instructions are included with the Adapter plate F-15741-TL29PL. Disassembly Steps
Remove the retainer, plunger sleeve with plunger valve, spring and lock-up valve. Keep the retainer for re-use and discard all other OE pieces.

The ATS Co-Pilot module commands the lock-up clutch of the torque converter along with the exhaust brake, if equipped, to stay engaged. This allows for up to 100% of the retarding force to be transferred in 3rd and 4th gear and the transmission oil temperature to remain low because of little to no slippage occurring when the converter is in these selected gears. When the ATS Valve Body is installed, you can use engine braking in the low-speed position of nearly 12 mph in 1st or 2nd gear.

Subaru Forrester Power Steering Rack Install

This document shows a set of pictures I took while installing a 1999 Subaru Power Steering Rack into my 1973 Datsun 240Z. The car had already been converted to a 1995 LT1 with a WC T5 transmission and I had kept the original pump from the donor car (Caprice 9C1) so I used it.
The steering has a feel similar to a higher end modern sports car. It’s light but still has reasonable road feel. The Subaru rack I used seems to have a higher ratio than the stock Datsun so the steering is quicker than it was.

Transmission is identified by identification plate attached to transmission case, located on left side, above oil pan. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) may also be used in identifying transmission. VIN locations are at top left of instrument panel and driver’s-side door post. VIN is used to ensure correct application of component parts and assemblies.

Volvo 850 AW50-42LE Auto Transmission Diagnosis

Transaxle is a 4-speed overdrive electronically controlled automatic transaxle. Transaxle consists of lock-up torque converter, oil pump, 3 planetary gear sets, clutch and brake units, accumulator pistons, valve body and 4 electronic valve body solenoids. Valve body with solenoids and Transaxle Control Module (TCM) are used for controlling transaxle operation. Solenoids are controlled by TCM.
