Relieving fuel pressure
a) Remove the fuel fill cap.
b) On models equipped with a 6mm service bolt. (illustrated below) If your vehicle is not equipped with a 6mm service bolt, then proceed to step c.
i) Use a box end wrench on the 6mm service bolt on top of the fuel filter or fuel rail, while holding the special banjo bolt with another wrench.
ii) Place a rag or shop towel over the 6mm service bolt.
iii) Slowly loosen the 6mm service bolt one complete turn.
iv) Leave service bolt loose until all pressure has been relieved.
v) Tighten service bolt to 10 lbf-ft.

AODE Transbrake Instructions

This transbrake has been thoroughly tested before being packed and shipped. Proper operation depends on following a few basic instructions. As you may know, the AODE/4R70W transmissions are computer controlled and must retain all wiring connections inside and outside the transmission. The following photos will help with the installation and operation of this transbrake.

1 Remove the seat.
2 Prop the fuel tank in the upright position.
3 Remove the airbox lid by disconnecting the two hooks on either side of the airbox (Fig A). Unscrew the bolts on either side of the rear of the airbox or just lift up to remove the air box.
4 Disconnect the two hoses going to the airbox
5 Remove the velocity stacks by turning them counter-clockwise and lifting up (Fig B)
