The ECT Display Driver is a small module with a removable wire harness that mounts behind the driver’s foot well cover. All wiring connections are near the ECM and only 4 wires are needed for basic operation:
• +5v power from the ECM (T-tap)
• Ground – available at ECM mounting bolt
• ECT sensor wire (T-tap at ECM)
• Dash temperature gauge wire (must cut at ECM)

This transbrake has been thoroughly tested before being packed and shipped. Proper operation depends on following a few basic instructions. As you may know, the AODE/4R70W transmissions are computer controlled and must retain all wiring connections inside and outside the transmission. The following photos will help with the installation and operation of this transbrake.

Installation Voltage Regulators Instructions

You have bought a quality voltage regulator. This unit is engineered and built to give you maximum service when properly installed. The fact that you are replacing the voltage regulator indicates the possibility that some trouble may exist in the electrical system that caused the old regulator to fail. To avoid damaging the new regulator follow these instructions carefully.

Fuel System Fuel Pump (4A–FE and 5S–FE)

ON–VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. CHECK FUEL PUMP OPERATION
(a) Using SST, connect terminals +B and FP of the data link connector 1.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
NOTICE: Do not start the engine.
(c) Check that there is pressure in the hose from the fuel filter.
